Meet the Solos

Hatchetta
Hatchetta Wielder was always drawn to the outdoors and the thrill of adventure. As a young girl, she spent every spare moment exploring the woods and fields near her home, learning everything she could about survival and self-sufficiency. As she grew older, Hatchetta became increasingly interested in the art of hatchet-throwing, and she began to practice with a fierce determination. She spent countless hours perfecting her aim, until she became one of the most skilled hatchet-throwers in the region. Eventually, Hatchetta's talents caught the attention of a group of like-minded survivalists known as "Team Hatchet." This group, made up of individuals who believed that hatchets were the ultimate survival tool, welcomed Hatchetta with open arms and she became an integral member of their team. Together, Hatchetta and the other members of Team Hatchet traveled the world, taking on all manner of survival challenges and proving the superiority of their trusty hatchets. Whether they were facing down wild animals, building shelters, or foraging for food, Hatchetta and her teammates always came out on top, thanks to their unwavering faith in the power of their hatchets. And through it all, Hatchetta remained a fierce and dedicated member of Team Hatchet, always ready to wield her hatchet in the name of survival.

Zachary Reese
Zachary Reese is a man who takes his wilderness adventures very seriously. But don't let his serious expression here fool you, "The Jokester of the Wilderness" comes with a hefty dose of humor. Growing up in the alpine forests, Zach learned early on that laughter was the best way to survive in the wilderness, especially when faced with the trials and tribulations of trapping his dinner. At age 18, he left home to join the military & quickly rose through the ranks due to his unmatched skills in tracking & trapping. Despite being sent to the most remote corners of the world, Zach's unique humor always found a way to shine through. Zach entertained his fellow soldiers with skits & jokes in even the most dire situations. One of his funniest skits was when he staged a mock trial, putting his commanding officer on trial for making them eat MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) every day. Another time, he had his fellow soldiers in stitches with his impression of a drill sergeant, barking orders in a falsetto voice. After the military, Zach settled back in his hometown as a hunting and fishing guide. But his love of adventure and entertaining others didn't stop there. He became a "wilderness prankster," pulling off elaborate gags on his unsuspecting clients. He once convinced a group of city slickers that they were under attack by a horde of man-eating squirrels, complete with fake paw prints and staged "attacks." On another trip, he staged a mock UFO landing and convinced his clients that they were being abducted by aliens. When Zach heard about the Yolo Solos competition, he knew that he had to participate. With his dominant right hand and his trusty bow, Zach is always ready for a challenge. He brings with him his signature flat top haircut, mustache, goatee, and sunglasses - making him look like a poor man's Burt Reynolds. Despite the challenges he faces in the Yolo Solos competition, Zach knows that laughter is the best survival tool in the wild. So whether he's throwing his bow at a bear, or fishing with his tarp, "The Jokester of the Wilderness" is always smiling and ready. - A Yolo Solos tale told by Tophinity
